> COMMUNION SERVICE
Communion is the Christian celebration of the personal sacrifice made for us by Jesus Christ. If you’re a committed Christian, you’re welcome to share in Communion with us, or you can just sit back and enjoy the music/atmosphere.
Communion is held the third Sunday evening of each month at 6:00 p.m.
The exceptions are Easter and Thanksgiving Eve. For these holidays, we have special Communion/Candlelight Services held on Good Friday, and the eve of Thanksgiving.
Some ask why we only celebrate Communion once a month.
Well…for a few reasons:(1) Our weekly services are strictly geared for musical worship and Scriptural teaching.
(2) We do not have facility space to provide the elements in separate areas for those who would like to share in it weekly.
(3) We believe that communion is to be savored, shared, and enjoyed in Community. Therefore, we do not provide pastors/elders “to the side” to serve communion to individuals following services.
(4) And most importantly, we love to take one Sunday evening a month and make communion the central focus of celebration! Although many commuters attend Grace, we find that once-a-month is very doable for most to be able to share in Communion with the Grace church family.
