We envision a people who catch the spectacular view of God’s redeeming love for the world. “We see a church compelled by this vision to take the truth and hope of the Gospel into Orange County, the Northeast, and overseas by encouraging, raising up and releasing leaders to do so” (excerpt from the GCC Vision Statement). Since its earliest days in the 1980s, Grace Community Church has been a “sending” church—sending our people, our dollars, our hearts, and our prayers into Orange County and far beyond. Our domestic focus is specifically the Northeast USA, and our international focus is the Balkan Peninsula.
For Missions Beyond Grace Community
Local and International Missions for Grace Community Church
Grace has established partnerships with parachurch ministries in Orange County and the Northeast USA with whom we share a common mission. We all labor together to see the spread of the Gospel in hearts and lives throughout the region. Overseas, Grace is involved with many Christian leaders and born-again doctors, dentists, and medical professionals. Our efforts are focused on the development and equipping of Eastern European nationals as pastors of church plants in Macedonia with only a 0.4% evangelical population.
Grace’s local partner ministries include Sound of Life Radio, 12th Rock Ministries, CMDA of the Hudson Valley, The Newburgh Ministry, Christ Health Care Ministry, and a women’s health and counseling center.
Grace regularly sends people on international missions trips to Nicaragua, El Salvador, and the Balkans. Many of our people are regularly involved overseas in the nations of Haiti, Brazil, Ecuador, Israel, Peru, and beyond! Email GoBeyond@GraceOC.com for more information.
Sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with Our Community
The primary engine of outreach at Grace Community Church is our multi-campus strategy. All over Orange County, Grace is establishing Gospel outposts that are each reaching hundreds of families with the transforming power of Jesus. By Christmas of 2014, Grace had campuses established in four towns across 42 miles: Grace Washingtonville, Grace Newburgh, Grace Middletown, and Grace Warwick.
Additionally, each campus of Grace conducts many forms of outreach into the local community throughout the year. Grace Groups engage in outreach of their own, our youth and kids’ ministries conduct outreach events, and hundreds of Grace attenders get involved. Three population groups perhaps most focused on at the moment are: at-risk children in the City of Newburgh (through “Project I AM” at the Grace Newburgh campus), West Point cadets (through the Cadet Ministry at the Grace Washingtonville campus), and young adults (age 18-25) in Orange County (through the Young Adult ministry over all our campuses).
Grace also has the joy of serving hundreds of families in need all across Orange County every year through the GCC Deacons Fund and Benevolence Team. Each year we give away more than $100,000 to families in critical points of need.
Our Care and Love for the Orphaned and Fatherless
For many years, Grace has been a church with a passion to reflect the “Father of the fatherless” who “sets the lonely in families” (Psalm 68:5-6). Beginning with our Lead Pastor’s adoption of two Ukrainian girls in 2012, and then with the establishment of “Grace Foster & Forever Families” (GFFF) in 2013, Grace Community Church is on mission to support Christian adoption and foster care in Orange County and beyond.
