> HISTORY

Grace Community began as a home Bible study with eight adults. Grace Community officially became a church on February 13, 1983 with 23 men, women and children. Today our weekend attendance averages close to 2,000.

Grace purchased 28.6 acres of land in 1985 to allow for growth. It was the vision of the founders of the church to let Christ build His church to whatever size He wanted. Today, with a near 40,000-foot facility, Grace community Church includes a Café, Info Center, classrooms, commercial-style kitchen, Promiseland nursery area (birth-to-4 years), Graceland (K through 5th) children’s wing, and a multi-purpose room that serves as a worship and conference center. God has blessed Grace Community with ministry facilities that help us advance His mission in Orange County and beyond.

> MISSION

Grace Community was founded on a single mission: “To Reach Orange County for Christ and make fully devoted followers of Jesus.” Today, this mission not only includes Orange County, but also New York City, the northeast, indeed the world!

As a result, evangelistic outreach to Orange County (and beyond) has been a driving force behind the spirit and ministry of Grace Community. We constantly remind our church family that we are ambassadors for Christ. We continually encourage everyone to pursue Christ deeply and share Christ broadly—with their families, friends, and neighbors.

All activities at Grace are filtered through our mission to see if they are good matches for the church. If not, we do not do them. This mission—to reach Orange County {and beyond} for Christ and make fully devoted followers of Jesus is the heartbeat of Grace Community Church, all for His glory.

> VALUES

The partner to Grace’s mission is her values. Grace Community stands unwavering on God’s Word, and these values:

1. Jesus is Lord, Savior, and Master. He is the center and focus of our lives.

2. Grace Community is built on the foundation of biblical truth.

3. We will be loving and kind in what we say and what we do.

4. We will practice openness and honesty, no matter what.

5. We will reach out and embrace everyone God sends our way.

6. People will be held accountable for what they do and say.

7. We will be united as pastors, leaders, and a congregation. When we do disagree, we will do it without being disagreeable.

8. We will have a flexible and relevant music and ministry style. Yet the content of truth and the gospel will never change.

9. We are all called to a life of constant spiritual growth and maturity.

10. Every member of Grace will be trained to actively share their faith and be encouraged to do so.
