What should I wear?
We’re laid back–you’ll find a comfortable mix of styles from business casual to shorts.
Will you ask me to identify myself?
You will not be asked to stand up, raise your hand, or in any other way identify yourself as a guest at Grace Community. However, you are welcome to grab a guest gift bag from the Info Center. You are also welcome to say hello to Pastor Jarrod personally, if you'd like, following the service--he'd love to meet you.
How do I get around the building?
We realize that our building is large and may be a bit confusing at first. It was built in four phases over 20+ years. While we are accustomed to it, hospitality experts tell us it can be confusing to navigate. To that end, we have Grace Ambassadors available throughout the building (anyone with a name tag). If you need help and they haven’t noticed, please ask! They’d love to help you. In addition, you will see signs for the Guest Info area. There are volunteers available at the Guest Info desk during all services to help you find the area you are looking for. At this desk, you will also find a picture of the Deacon and Deaconess on duty— they would love to help as well.
Who is taking care of my children?
All children’s ministry leaders are fully devoted followers of Jesus and members of Grace Community. All ministry volunteers have been vetted via a background check, personal interview, and reference check. In addition, we have created safeguards and procedures to build the safest environment possible for your children.
What kind of music do you have?
We have a multi-talented Worship & Arts Team, who provide live, contemporary Christian music, as well as state-of-the-art visual presentations. You can find a good representation of our music by checking out the Sound of Life Radio Network of the North East .
Is the sermon boring?
No. Pastor Jarrod’s teaching is funny, personal, and passionate. It is 100% biblically-driven, Christ-centered, and relevant to your daily life. If you still aren’t sure, check it out for yourself! Click here to listen to a sermon.
How will I know where to go?
Grace Community Church has folks, such as the Grace Ambassadors, who are excited to greet and direct you from the moment you drive onto the parking lot, until you walk out the doors following the service.
I see that you are pretty focused on Orange County, NY. I don’t live in Orange County. Am I still welcome?
Absolutely! We are passionate about reaching Orange County and beyond! Actually, we have many members and attendees of Grace from outside of Orange County as well as New York State. With distance, we become a bit concerned about you finding it hard to plug into community and serving in ministry. That is why we encourage folks who are leaning toward attending a gospel-centered church to attend one closer to their home. This allows time to better serve, experience community, and impact the place in which they live. Otherwise–if that is not a concern for you, welcome!!!

Are kids allowed in the service?
Yes! Kids of all ages are welcomed. Once they become more comfortable with their surroundings, they may want to check out their age-specific class. A word of warning, you may have a hard time getting them to leave once they’re there.
Why do you only celebrate Communion once a month?
(1) Our weekly services are strictly geared for musical worship and Scriptural teaching.
(2) We believe that communion is to be savored, shared, and enjoyed in community. Therefore, we do not provide pastors/elders “on the side” to serve communion to individuals following services.
(3) We do not have facility space to provide the elements in separate areas for those who would like to share in it weekly.
(4) And most importantly, we love to take one Sunday evening a month and make communion the central focus of celebration! Although many commuters attend Grace, we find that once a month is very doable for most to be able to share in Communion with the Grace church family.
Can the church accommodate people with physical challenges?
We try in every way. There are designated parking spaces, wide doors/hallways, lower sinks and water fountains for those with wheelchairs. In addition, Grace offers an ASL (American Sign Language) interpreted service as well if you are hearing impaired or deaf.
How will I know if Grace is the right church for me and my family?
Most people will just “know” when they’ve arrived at the right place. The Holy Spirit has a wonderful way of connecting your heart with your church. Whether you make Grace Community Church your home church or not, we hope your visit is pleasant, fulfilling, and a place where you experience the truth and love of Christ Himself.
